Static Electricity:)

Hey, Anushka here!!

I wanted to talk a little about static electricity.  Have you ever noticed somebody who is a always coming around shocking people?  Well, that is because of static electricity.

Static Electricity can only stay for a moment for example lighting!

Fun Fact:

Opposites Attract.  So, if you put a electron with a electron they will repel each other but if you put a electron and a proton they will attract to each other.

So, you might be wondering how is static electricity generated, well, say you wear a hat and rub it through your hair and then take it off; the electrons on your hair go on the hat and pull the hair to try to get the electrons.  When electrons on one object move to another object static electricity generates.

That's all for today folks, keep reading my blog to learn new things everyday.

Atoms!!!!!

Atoms:

An atom is made of mostly empty space. It is the smallest particle in matter. Atoms have three parts the electrons, neutrons and protons.  This is a model of an atom.

Electrons:

Electrons go around the nucleus. They are far away from the nucleus. They have negative electrical charge. They never reach the nucleus. They go so fast that you can never exactly see them.

Neutrons:

They hang out in the nucleus with the protons. They have no electrical charge.

Protons:

They hang out with the neutrons in the nucleus. They have positive electrical charge.

Hope you like my first blog!!!
