Layers of the Earth :)

Hey, Anushka here. I wanted to talk a little bit about the layers of the earth.

The Earth has 4 layers the crust , mantle, outer core , and inner core.

The inner core is a solid ball. It is the innermost layer of the earth. Next is the outer core which is completely liquid. After that comes the mantle which is made up of magma and rocks.The liquid in the mantle (magma) is less fluid then the liquid in the outer core . Finally the outermost thin layer is called crust which is made up of sea and mountains.

Earths plates are placed at the bottom of the crust and top of the mantle. They are also known as tectonic plates. All the continents are floating on these earth plates.


Since the magma is at very high temperature it can come out at very quickly through the gaps between tectonic plates. When this happens tectonic plates will move. This can create earthquake or volcanic eruptions.
